Pruneti Intenso Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Price range: $19.00 through $64.00

Intenso is Tuscan extra virgin olive oil with presence.
Bold, structured and confidently expressive, this is an oil made for people who love flavour that stands tall on the plate.

Produced by the Pruneti family at their historic estate in San Polo in Chianti, Intenso is part of their Fruttati line — a collection dedicated to oils with power, clarity and personality.

Cultivar

Crafted from a classic Tuscan blend led by Moraiolo and Frantoio, with select local varieties, it is cold-pressed immediately after harvest using only mechanical processes to lock in freshness, aroma and a naturally high polyphenol content.

Aroma

On the nose, Intenso is deeply green and complex. Artichoke and green tomato dominate, followed by layers of, radish, rosemary and dried fruit. It’s vibrant, herbaceous and unmistakably Chianti.

Taste

On the palate, this oil delivers authority. Green radicchio and artichoke bring a firm, savoury bitterness, perfectly balanced by a bold peppery kick of black pepper and nutmeg. Herbal notes of mint, chive and wild field greens add lift, finishing long, warm and energetic — the signature “healthy burn” that defines a serious extra virgin olive oil.

This is a finishing oil designed for robust food.

Pruneti Intenso is a bold finishing oil designed to elevate hearty, flavour-driven dishes with its green intensity, bitterness and peppery lift.

Where It Truly Shines (The Good Oil Way)

Grilled Meats
Outstanding over steak, lamb and grilled red meats. The robust fruitiness and phenolic spice cut through richness and enhance the savoury depth of the dish.

Soups & Stews
A final drizzle over lentil soups, chickpea dishes and traditional Tuscan ribollita adds structure, aroma and that signature peppery finish that premium EVOO is known for.

Vegetables
Exceptional with bitter and earthy vegetables. Think radicchio, kale, chicory and wild broccoli, as well as grilled eggplant and mushrooms where the oil amplifies natural umami and complexity.

Cheese & Bread
Drizzle over aged Pecorino Toscano or Parmigiano Reggiano for a perfect balance of salt, fat and bitterness. Also superb with toasted sourdough — simple, pure and very Good Oil Club.

Pasta & Seafood
Finish aglio e olio, pesto-based pasta or robust seafood like grilled swordfish, tuna or octopus. The intensity of the oil complements strong flavours rather than disappearing into them.

The Good Oil Tip:
Always use Pruneti Intenso raw and add just before serving. This preserves its fresh aromatics, peppery polyphenols and the full sensory impact that defines true premium extra virgin olive oil.
