Leggero is proof that subtle can still be serious.
Crafted by Frantoio Pruneti in the heart of San Polo in Chianti, this refined extra virgin olive oil is designed for those who appreciate precision, balance and finesse. “Leggero” — meaning light in Italian — refers not to a lack of character, but to an oil that enhances a dish without ever overpowering it.
Part of Pruneti’s celebrated trio — Leggero (light), Equilibrato (medium) and Intenso (robust) — this oil is a carefully composed multi-varietal blend, led by Leccino for softness and elegance, with Moraiolo providing gentle structure and freshness. The olives are cold-extracted using only mechanical processes, preserving aromatic clarity and natural vitality.
On the nose, Leggero is fresh, clean and inviting. Aromas of freshly cut grass open the bouquet, followed by delicate herbal notes of parsley and sage. Subtle sweetness emerges — lettuce, basil and fennel — giving the oil an airy, spring-like character.
On the palate, the oil is smooth and harmonious. Fresh grass leads again, wrapped in flavours of fennel, lettuce and basil, with a soft nuttiness reminiscent of pine nuts. Bitterness and pungency are present but finely tuned, never dominating the experience.
The finish is elegant and precise, closing with a gentle return of sage and a delicate white-pepper lift that cleans the palate and invites the next bite.
Leggero is a natural partner for delicate cuisine.
It shines with steamed or poached fish, shellfish and cold seafood, where purity matters. Use it over boiled or roasted vegetables, especially zucchini, asparagus, fennel and potatoes. It pairs beautifully with white meats such as chicken, turkey and veal, and is exceptional on fresh salads, carpaccio, burrata and mozzarella, where its restraint allows ingredients to shine.
This is an oil for cooks who understand balance. An oil that supports, elevates and refines.
Pruneti Leggero — Tuscan elegance, bottled with restraint.
