Intenso is Tuscan extra virgin olive oil with presence. Bold, structured and confidently expressive, this is an oil made for people who love flavour that stands tall on the plate.
Produced by the Pruneti family at their historic estate in San Polo in Chianti, Intenso is part of their Fruttati line — a collection dedicated to oils with power, clarity and personality. Crafted from a classic Tuscan blend led by Moraiolo and Frantoio, with select local varieties, it is cold-pressed immediately after harvest using only mechanical processes to lock in freshness, aroma and a naturally high polyphenol content.
On the nose, Intenso is deeply green and complex. Artichoke and green tomato dominate, followed by layers of, radish, rosemary and dried fruit. It’s vibrant, herbaceous and unmistakably Chianti.
On the palate, this oil delivers authority. Green radicchio and artichoke bring a firm, savoury bitterness, perfectly balanced by a bold peppery kick of black pepper and nutmeg. Herbal notes of mint, chive and wild field greens add lift, finishing long, warm and energetic — the signature “healthy burn” that defines a serious extra virgin olive oil.
This is a finishing oil designed for robust food.
Drizzle it generously over grilled red meats, steaks and lamb just before serving. It shines with slow-cooked dishes — ribollita, bean stews, lentil soups and chickpea dishes — where its bitterness cuts through richness and adds depth. Use it over roasted or grilled vegetables, especially radicchio, kale, chicory, wild broccoli and eggplant. It pairs beautifully with mushrooms, truffles and earthy flavours.
Intenso is also exceptional with aged cheeses like Pecorino Toscano or Parmigiano Reggiano, poured over warm bruschetta, or served simply with toasted sourdough as a dipping oil. For seafood lovers, try it with grilled swordfish, tuna or octopus, where its structure complements firm, meaty fish.
This is not an oil for the sidelines. It’s an oil that finishes, elevates and defines a dish.
Pruneti Intenso — bold Chianti character, built for serious food.
